Patricia Ann “Patty” Borchardt (Nee Koehler) age 47 of River Falls, died Thursday January 6th, 2011 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Patty was born on December 26, 1963 in Brainerd, Minnesota; the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Geiger) Koehler. She was raised in River Falls attending St. Bridget’s Parochial School before graduating from River Falls High School in the class of 82’. Patty worked most of her adult life as an administrative assistant. She worked for Chippewa Valley Technical College in River Falls before working for Heartland Montassouri south of River Falls. On May 28, 2004, she was united in marriage to Dean Borchardt at Faith Evangelical Church in River Falls. Together, they have continued to make River Falls their home. Patty was a devoted mother, wife, friends, and employee. Her greatest pleasure came from being surrounded by her family. She cherished her children as they always knew how to make her smile and laugh. Her family was the center of her world. For those who knew Patty, they appreciated her attention to detail and heartfelt care for others. Her quick witted sassy humor; yet concerned thoughtfulness of others, will always be remembered.
She will remain in the hearts of her husband Dean, children Koehl Raymond Heebink, McKel LaRenn Heebink, mother Ruth Koehler of River Falls, siblings Cheri (Mark) Schmitt of Zim, MN, Richard (Ellen) Koehler of Stockton, Ill, Greg (Deb) Koehler of River Falls, Phil (Gale) Koehler of River Falls, Marty (Larry) Schweizer of River Falls, Jim (Becky) Koehler of Star Prairie, WI, John (Nettie) Koehler of Barronett, WI, her nephews and nieces Gwyn (Shawn), Paul (Adrienne), Carri (Tom), Andrew (Melinda), Christina (Chris), Jenny, Matt (Becky), Ali (Dustin), Jared, Emily, Aric (Alicia), Robert, Tom, Steven, Samantha, as well as their families. She is furthered survived by her Borchardt family; parents-in-law Frank (Grace) Borchardt of River Falls, brothers/sisters-in-law Wendi (Tom) Heckathorn of Grove City, OH, Jodi (Mark) Waldek of Greenfield Center, NY, Neal Borchardt of River Falls, nieces and nephews Erik, Dan (Lindsey), Krista (Rajeev), Rachel, Rebekah, Kalvin, Alexandra, and Meaghan. She is preceded in death by her father Robert, brothers Kenneth and Robert.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 3:30PM Sunday January 9th at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls with Father Jerry Harris to officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls. Visitation will be two hours prior to the mass at church on Sunday. Her Godchildren Emily Schweizer and Matt Koehler will serve as urn bearers. Cremation services coordinated by Countryside Crematory with funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Homes.
