Patricia Schumacher

Patricia Anastasia Marie Schumacher age 90, of Woodville, Wisconsin, passed on June 8th, 2023. Pat was born to Howard and Helen (Johnson) Sullivan in St. Paul, MN.

She attended St. Joseph Academy in St. Paul, Minnesota all through grade and high school, then attended college at St. Kate’s in St. Paul. Following her education, Pat worked at the original Goodman Jewelers as a bookkeeper and then in accounting for nearly 30 years for the St. Paul Public Housing Agency until her retirement in 2015.

Pat lived a life of faith and gave much of her time back to the community as a church and hospital volunteer. She enjoyed filling her life with journeys through genealogy and at one point visited Norway and met some of her relatives. After her trip, she continued to pursue her research in finding as much information about her ancestry as she could. Pat loved social gatherings and went to as many reunions as she could, including a group of her grade school classmates. She made many friends and brought smiles to those she met.

Pat was an enthusiastic member of the Red Hat Society and loved meeting new people. She spent her free time exploring the world of theater such as Park Square Theater, Lakeshore Players Theatre, and many seasons of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. She always filled her life with adventure and made sure to bring stories to each person she met.

Pat will be dearly missed by her daughter Jane O’Hara, Step-children Mark Schumacher, Todd (Jodee) Schumacher, Keri (Michael) Israelson, and step daughter-in-law Michele Schumacher, grandchildren; Nichole, Ryan, Alex, Jake, and Jack, great-grandchildren, Brooke and Taylor and many friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard Sullivan, and Helen (Johnson) Sullivan, her husband Richard, brother Jerome Sullivan, and step-son Thomas Schumacher.

A visitation for Pat will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at St. Mary’s Church, Hammond, WI from 9:30-11am. A funeral service will be held following the visitation from 11am-12pm. The funeral service will be followed by a burial at St. Mary’s and a luncheon.
