Paul Daniel Hoffmeyer passed into the arms of Jesus Saturday, January 31, 2015
after a well-fought battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was born July 19,
1943, to George and Ethel (Webster) Hoffmeyer at City Hospital in River Falls, WI.
He lived all his life in the house his parents bought when he was 10 weeks old. He
attended the campus school and later graduated from River Falls High School. On
October 29, 1971, he married Connie Bohatta. God gave them 3 children, Edith,
Melissa and Andrew.
He spent his life in a career that he loved, driving tractor-trailer rigs for several
companies. He retired from Wiseway Transportation in August of 2013.
In October of 1983 he made the most important decision of his life when he asked
Jesus Christ to be his personal Savior. He was a faithful member of First Baptist
Church of River Falls, serving in many positions. He said serving communion was
a very humbling experience, and he felt honored to participate.
In heaven he will join his daughter Edith, grandson Ian Smith, his parents, sisters
Edith Faris and Evelyn Paul, his brother Franklin, and many other extended family.
Paul leaves behind his wife Connie, daughter Melissa (Darrin) Smith, grandsons
Caleb and Ethan (Chuckie) Smith, son Andrew (Jami ), his brother William, and
many extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in River Falls, WI. Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church also on March 14, 2015. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls, WI.
