Pauline Swenson

Pauline Polly Marjorie Swenson, age 86, formerly of North Saint Paul, MN passed away January 10, 2013. Polly was born on September 3, 1926 in the twp. of Springfield; the daughter of Leonard and Johanna (Flack) Frantz. Polly was fortunate to grow up with seven amazing siblings; preceded in death by Leona (Don) McGee, Irene (Albert) Krizan, Kenneth Frantz, and Dolors Frantz. Surviving sisters Klover Logerstrom of Boyceville, Sylvia Mertz of Mahtomedi, MN, Betty Lark of Baldwin, and sister-in-law LaVerne (Olson) Frantz of Black River Falls. Polly grew up in Hersey and graduated from Glenwood City high. After graduation, Polly went onto cosmetology school. She was united in marriage on March 31, 1948 at the Lutheran church in Hersey to Harold Julius Swenson. Their marriage was blessed with five children. Polly and Harold lived in North Saint Paul for many years.

Throughout her life, Polly provided for her family as a homemaker, seamstress, and a great cook. Pauline was a wonderful mother who loved being surrounded by her family.

Polly was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Carla Lozon; loving husband, Harold; and her parents. Polly will remain in the hearts of her children, Howard Swenson of Tucson, AZ, Cynthia (Richard) Larson of Duluth, MN, Johanna Swenson of St. Paul, MN and Charlene Swenson of Hugo, MN; son-in-law, John Lozon of Superior; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members.

A Memorial Service and Gathering will take place on Sunday, February 17 from 2-5 pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., in Baldwin. Private interment will take place at the Wilson Lutheran Cemetery this spring. Funeral services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin, WI.
