Peter E. Todd

Peter E. Todd Age 94 of Hudson died September 16, 2017 at Pine Ridge Assisted-Living in Hudson. Peter was born on July 22, 1923 in London, Ontario, the son of Allan and Charlotte Todd. He was raised in Ontario where he attended school. On June 14, 1947, he was united in marriage to Jane Purdom in London, Ontario. This union would be further blessed with five daughters.

Peter was a gifted engineer who worked for the 3M Manufacturing Company for over 37 years.

Peter enjoyed life to the fullest. Family and faith was first and foremost in his life. Nothing gave him more smile’s then being surrounded by his girls and grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing as he was a member of the Hudson Country Club as well as playing cribbage or bridge with his friends. He loved a well-manicured yard and harvesting his bounties from his vegetable garden. He enjoyed wintering down south with Jane at North Port Florida where he always looked forward to seeing old friends and playing shuffleboard. He was a proud long time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hudson where he served as an elder and on the council.

Peter will remain in the hearts of his daughters Barbara Jane Todd of Northport Florida, Elizabeth (TJ) Edwards of Spooner, Nancy (Bill) Gilland of Hudson, Isabel Barr of Hudson, Tori (Rob) Schultz of Winona, eleven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jane, and four brothers.

Funeral service for Peter Todd will be 11 AM Tuesday, September 19 at First Presbyterian Church in Hudson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson. Memorials are preferred in Lieu of flowers to Adoray Hospice as their care for him was exceptional. Funeral service and cremation coordinated by the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory.
