Peter Locher, age 84 of Hudson, formerly of Milwaukee, died March 3, 2015 at the Comforts of Home in Hudson.

Peter was born on January 31, 1931 in Kurd, Hungary, to parents, Peter and Katharina (Kuhl) Locher. He studied finish cabinetry as an apprentice in Germany. At the age of 18, Peter immigrated to the United States. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Peter settled in the Milwaukee area working as a cabinet maker and also made wood displays for the Dr. Scholl’s company. Peter had a lifelong love of woodworking and continued it well into his 70s

Peter will remain in the hearts of his children, Sandra (Matt) Hardy, Sharon (Greg) O’Neal, Mathias Locher and Peter Locher, Jr.; grandchildren, Nick, Tyler (Laura), and Mason (Carolyn) Hardy; Riley (Amie), and Trevor O’Neal; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Desmond, and Mariella. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Peter Locher will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1500 Vine Street, Hudson. Burial will take place at 9 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
