Phillip David Hopkins, age 18, of Baldwin, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 22, 2011.  He was born the son of John and Catherine (Terwilliger) Hopkins on February 3rd, 1993 in Hudson, Wisconsin.  Phillip attended St. Croix Central Elementary School through 1st grade and then attended Baldwin-Woodville Schools from 2nd grade on.  He was currently a Senior at Baldwin-Woodville High School.

After exploring several different sports through the community sponsored summer programs, Phillip enjoyed playing soccer for several years in the Baldwin-Woodville Hawk Soccer Club.  Phillip especially enjoyed the experiences and adventures he had as a boy scout with the Baldwin-Woodville Area Boy Scout Troop #110.

Phillip was an accomplished artist, having several works of art chosen for exhibits and show from a very early age.  As a high school student, Phillip entered art competitions, enjoyed participation in choir & being chosen for Honor’s Choir.  He excelled at creative writing and showed us his dramatic side through his love of acting and directing.  His unique, creative, flair and dramatic style emerged through his experiences with drama, stage management, forensics and the All-School Plays.

He enjoyed listening to many styles of music, going to movies, and playing a variety of games with his close friends.  Phillip valued all his friends, classmates, teachers, and mentors and they will miss his many gifts and talents.

Phillip will remain in the hearts of his mother, Cathy Hopkins of Baldwin and father, John Hopkins of Hudson; siblings: Aaron (Kelly) Hopkins of Frederic WI, Amy Hopkins of Baldwin WI, Debbie Hopkins of Minneapolis MN, and Jacob Hopkins of Baldwin WI; nephews, Logan, Lane and Brenden; maternal grandparents, Janice and Edward Terwilliger; many aunts, uncles and cousins; numerous close friends and teachers; and his beloved dog, Venus.
