Phyllis Siefers, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, just two days shy of her 96th birthday. Born on March 12, 1929, in Lafayette, Indiana, Phyllis lived a life rich in laughter, love, and warmth. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit and incredible ability to spread happiness wherever she went.

Phyllis married the love of her life, Donald, on June 11, 1949, and together they were blessed with five children, known as the five D’s. Phyllis was a loving wife and an amazing mother. Phyllis lived in many states after leaving Lafayette, but most of her time was spent in the West, Colorado, California, and Idaho. Her most recent adventure was to move to Wisconsin where she spent her last three years.

Phyllis loved every moment she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, playing games, cooking, traveling, and laughing. Phyllis was also proud of her time as a teacher’s aide for special needs children.

With a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh, Phyllis could light up a room. She was known for her love of singing, dancing, and knitting, often bringing a touch of silliness to the lives of those around her. Her creative spirit and unwavering kindness touched the hearts of everyone she encountered.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Debbie Campbell, Daniel Siefers (Lori), Dennis Siefers (Cindy), Duane Siefers (Gwen Momita), Dawn Fitzpatrick (John); grandchildren: Aaron Siefers (Megan Downs), Jesica Siefers Holstein, Stacy Momita (Mark Holmberg), Keely Hundley (Justin), Steve Siefers, and Connor Fitzpatrick; great-grandchildren: Emily Fostich, Flynn Hundley, Jack Holstein, and Logan Hundley; siblings: Betty Pallotto (Mike) and Kay Klinker (Don).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Siefers, her parents, Alberta and Charles Thoennes, her brothers, Jack and David Thoennes, her sisters Maryann Haan, and Carolyn Ruth Thoennes.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in the Marie Blakeman Community Center at Christian Community Home in Hudson, WI.
