Preston Wayne Orvold, age 66, of River Falls, WI died Monday, June 13, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. He was born on August 6, 1949 in Baldwin, WI to Clarence & Evelyn (Dahm) Orvold. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart Medal of Honor. On September 9, 1972 he was united in marriage to Constance Pechacek in River Falls. He was employed at Andersen Windows and then he harvested crops.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Evelyn.

Preston is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Connie of River Falls; his children, Justin Orvold of River Falls, WI, Jessica (Jeremy) Austrum of Hammond, WI, Jeremiah Orvold of Minneapolis, MN; two granddaughters, Daisy & Lulu; sister, Karen Braden of Yakima, WA; brother, Andrew (Colleen) Orvold of Amery, WI; parents-in-law, Darold & Doris Pechacek of River Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am Thursday, June 16, 2016 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, River Falls with visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be in St. Bridget Catholic Cemetery with Military salute.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
