Priscilla Peterson

Priscilla Kingsbury Peterson, age 78 of Hudson, died suddenly April 25, 2018 at the St. Paul Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Priscilla was born July 25, 1939 on Kingsbury Century Farm in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin to Marion and Wayne Kingsbury. Priscilla attended her first through seventh years of school in the one-room Horseshoe Lake School in Beaver Township and eighth through high school graduation at Turtle Lake High School. She furthered her education with college courses at UW-River Falls and Century College, St. Paul, Minnesota. She married Robert D. Peterson of Clear Lake, Wisconsin on August 23, 1958.

Priscilla worked in the business world about 35 years. Prior to working at 3M, Priscilla worked 10 years at Univac, a division of the Sperry Rand Corporation. The one area she found to be most fascinating was working with the electronic design engineers who designed and built the communication system for Alan Shepherd’s first space flight. She joined the 3M Public Relations Department, where she had the opportunity to meet many interesting people. She was also very active in her church, the Hudson United Methodist Church. She spent many hours sewing for church missions: children’s hospital gowns, baby blankets, and over 785 polar fleece mittens. She enjoyed any and all activities with her family, whom she deeply cherished. During her retirement, Priscilla researched and recorded family histories. She also researched and wrote A TRIBUTE TO THE TIME, the history of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin, which took four years to produce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Marion Kingsbury and her brothers, Weldon and George. She is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Todd (Velvet), Tammie (Rodney Mangelsen), Karri (Craig Lindholm), and Jamie (Tammilynn); and grandchildren, Jacob Peterson, Morgan Mangelsen, Matthew Mangelsen, Nick Peterson, Brooke Peterson, Tyler Peterson, Tristan Peterson and Samantha Lindholm.

Funeral Service for Priscilla will be at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 28 at the Hudson United Methodist Church, 1401 Laurel Ave, Hudson, WI., with a visitation from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Burial will take place in the Swedish Congregational Cemetery in Clear Lake, Wisconsin. Memorials preferred to the family’s discretion.
