R. Darlene Oliver

R. Darlene Oliver, of St. Paul, was called to the Lord on October 29, 2010. She was born in New York Mills, MN, one of 14 children, to Charles and Ida (Karjala) Kasma. On July 26, 1952, Darlene was united in marriage to William Ian Oliver in St. Paul, MN. Darlene loved her family, gardening, baseball, and her Finnish heritage. She was an active member of Beaver Lake Lutheran Church for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son, William Jr., seven sisters and five brothers. Darlene will remain in the hearts of her children, David C. (Mary) Oliver, Susan K. (Kerry) Mayer, and John S.(Nola) Oliver; four grandchildren, Jennifer Oliver, Nathan (Michelle) Mayer, and Isaac and Annalise Oliver; great-grandson, Trevor Oliver; sister, Adeline (Ernie) Sadewasser; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A private graveside service for Darlene will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville, MN. Memorials preferred to Beaver Lake Lutheran Church or Animal Humane Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory, 715-386-3725.
