Ramon Eugene Augustine

Ramon “Ray” Eugene Augustine, age 79 of Hager City WI, died on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born May 19, 1940 in Milwaukee WI to parents Eugene and Mary (Smith) Augustine. He was raised in Milwaukee, and graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School with the Class of 1958. On June 17, 1961, Ray was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Bueger. Their union in marriage was blessed with eight children, fifteen grandchildren, and over fifty-eight years of love and devotion.

Ray worked for over twenty years with the 3M Company as a Maintenance Supervisor, retiring in 2004. He was committed to his faith, and was active in the Knights of Columbus. Ray was a proud Green Bay Packers fan, and appreciated a good game of cribbage. He also had a love for his farm, and life there rewarded him with hobbies he enjoyed such as hunting, fishing, gardening, and working in his vineyard. Ray always had dogs and shared a special connection with all of them. Most important to Ray was his family. He lived his life simply, honestly, and with unconditional love. He made being a good man look easy. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his children, Michael (Nga Kim) Augustine, Mark (Sherri) Augustine, David (Debbie) Augustine, Andrew (Wendy) Augustine, Thomas (Lavon) Augustine, Matthew (Tammy) Augustine, Carrie Kosnopfal, and Catherine (Mel) LLeras; grandchildren, Leah, Alexia, Abigail, Anna, Demi, Danielle, Kaitlin, Mollie, Lindsey, Emma, Nina, Nathan, Samantha, Thaddeus, and Cedric; siblings, Maureen (Rod) Anthony, Mary Jean Nonnenmacher, John (Jeannie) Augustine, and Patrick (Amy) Augustine.
