Randall J. Sands

Randall J. Sands, 72 of Prescott, WI passed away at home on December 14, 2022.  Randall was born in Waynesburg, PA to James and Nina Sands. Randy attended schools in Loyal, WI until sophomore year then graduated from Prescott in 1968.  Randy then entered the U.S. Army in the fall of 1968, spent one year at Fort Bliss, TX, then two years in Baumholder, Germany.  He received his honorable discharge as Sp. E-5, September of 1971.

He married Mary A. Resong of Neillsville, WI on October 9, 1971, then made their home in Prescott, WI.  Randy worked at Peavy Mills, now Ardent Mills in Hastings, MN for 33 years, where he hauled bulk flower and many other jobs.  Randy also served as a volunteer fireman for Prescott for 13 years.  Randy also was associated with many sports programs for our Prescott youth.

Randy is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of 51 years; sons Rick (Kristianna) of Rochester, MN and Rod (Erin Maclennan) of Prescott, WI; grandsons Samuel Maier of Rochester, MN and Cooper Brandt of Prescott, WI; sister Wendy Hebert of Chisago City, MN; nieces Tina (Mitch) Nikl of Chisago City, MN, Lisa (Kirt) Murphy of Fountain Hills, AZ and Kim Petterson of River Falls, WI; 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces.

Randall was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Nina Sands; in-laws John and Marie Resong and a sister Alicia.

There will be a private burial in the Pine Glenn cemetery at a later date.
