Raymond Huppert, 85, of Ellsworth, Wisconsin went to meet his Maker on Sunday, Nov 7, 2021. Ray was born August 15, 1936 in Ellsworth, WI to Henry and Regina Huppert. One of 8 children, Ray grew up on the family farm in Hager City. Ray married Darlyne Dorothy Hines on May 10, 1958. Together they were blessed with 5 daughters and 2 sons.
Ray owned and operated several businesses throughout his life. He started Ray Huppert Construction in 1964 and built several homes in the Pierce County area including developing the Dar-Ray Heights neighborhood in Ellsworth. He moved into real estate and operated Dar-Ray Realty and eventually Edina Realty and was president of the Wisconsin Realtor’s Association for a number of years. As a state water utility operator, he operated Dar-Ray Water Utility for 50 years in Dar-Ray Heights. Eventually he worked as a union contractor and retired after that. He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Rush River Trail Riders, and a very involved member of his beloved Rod-and-Gun Club since 1960. Ray loved to fish and hunt with his family and loved gardening, traveling and camping with the motorhome.
Ray loved the Lord, and adored his family. He had the biggest heart and never did an emotional moment go by without a glisten of tears in his eyes. Our family will never forget that. He charmed others with his sense of humor, saw the good in everything, and taught us to love and forgive quickly. We will miss his presence and wisdom and know we will see him again someday.
Ray was welcomed into his Eternal life by the people he loved and went before him. He is survived by his wife, Darlyne, of 63 years, and his seven children; Deb (Jack) Walsingham, Mikel (Kelly) Huppert, Madonna Huppert, Mitch (Anne) Huppert, Annette (Jim) Grant, Susan (Pedro) Renta, and Rachel Huppert; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; siblings Allen (Shari) Huppert, Darwin (Lois) Huppert, Henrietta Jansa, Deloris (Laverne) Kusilek, Mary Lee (Rick) Trok and many nieces and nephews.
