Raymond Lyle Nelson, age 67 of Menomonie, WI and formerly of Prescott and River Falls, died on February 12, 2020 at The Neighbors of Dunn County following complications of strokes over the past couple of years. Ray was born on January 30, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Donald and Lucille (Larson) Nelson. While growing up, he attended Brown Deer schools near Milwaukee prior to furthering his education at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. In 1987, he was married to the former Colleen Richters. This union would later dissolve.

Ray enjoyed the outdoors. Earlier in life, he enjoyed hunting, trapping, and fishing. For most of his life, fishing and golf were major pastimes. For a period of many years, he owned and operated his own landscape and mowing company. More recently, he worked many years for the City of Prescott in the Public Works Water Utilities Department.

Ray will be remembered by his friend, Pastor Kim (Barbara) Kuhfuss; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services for Ray Nelson will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 22nd at The Journey Church / River Falls Assembly of God, 605 Valley View Drive in River Falls, WI.
