Rebecca Jane Geidans age 57 of North Hudson died peacefully Saturday April 6, 2013 at her residence. Rebecca was born on June 23, 1955 in St. Paul, Minnesota; the daughter of George and Mary Watson. She graduated from Shakopee High School in 1973 prior to furthering her education with a degree in cosmetology. She would marry her best friend and soul mate Pete Geidans in Ely, Minnesota. This union would be blessed with two daughters Jen and Amy. She loved being a homemaker to her family. Baking, sewing, and tending to her plants gave her great pleasure. For those who knew her best, she was also known as the Post Office baker. Pete has worked for the US Postal Service for the past thirteen years.

Rebecca will remain in the hearts of her husband of 28 years Pete; her daughter Jen (Brian) Withrow with their children Andrew Mulville, Evan Mulville, Lydia Withrow, Sydney Withrow, her daughter Amy (Jason) Castillo and their children Grace Pegel, Glorie Pegel, Gaylan Pegel III, Antonio Pegel, Valentino Castillo, siblings Betty Watson, Bob Watson, George Watson, Karen Watson, Brian Watson, brothers/sisters-in-law Signi Nixon, Ilga Janouskavec, Ingrid Devries, Karl Geidans, Hans Geidans, Margaret Michaels, Kathy Dow, as well as her neices and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and grandson Andrew.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 9th from 2:00PM to 6:00PM with a prayer service to conclude the evening at 5:30PM at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Floral arrangements are welcomed and are encouraged to be pink roses; as they were her favorite.
