Reed Shipley

Reed Charles Shipley, age 33, of Star Prairie, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident on April 2, 2017.  Reed was born January 28, 1984 to Thomas Shipley and Jean (Riley) Spott.  He grew up in Hudson.  Reed worked as a tree cutter for many years, and then found his niche as a stone cutter and tiler.  In 2010, Reed met the love of his life, Krista Lei Joachim, and was later married on August 18, 2012.  Their marriage was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Peyton.  Reed loved to live his life to the limit.  He was a great husband and father, who cherished his time with his family and friends.  Reed found great companionship from his dogs.  He was fond of riding his Harley Davidson, golfing, and shooting pool.  Reed appreciated the beauty of nature, as well as his time woodworking and 4-wheeling.

Reed was a caring man even in death, by being a donor he was able to give the gift of a better life to many people he will never know.

Reed will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Krista; daughter, Peyton; mother Jean Spott; grandmother, Marie Shipley; siblings, Nadine (Jeff Mueller) Shipley, Ross Shipley, and Luke (Liz) Johnson; step-daughters, Cheyanne and Skylyn Joachim; step-father, Karl Spott; mother and father-in-law, Larry and Dianne Joachim; brother-in-law, Wes (Brenna) Joachim; sister-in-law, Jamie (Eddie) Gomperts; step-brothers, Brian (Jenny) Spott and Adam Spott; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.  Reed was preceded in death by his father, Tom; grandfather, Charles Shipley; and grandparents, Ted and Muriel Riley.

A Celebration of Reed’s Life will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Rooster’s Roadhouse, 1767 Cty Rd T, New Richmond.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Reed’s family.
