Regina Cecilia Larson, age 84 of Ellsworth, passed away surrounded by her family on February 12, 2017 at the Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Ellsworth. Regina was born February 9, 1933 in Buffalo County, WI, the daughter of John James and Margaret Ethel (Cain) O’Keefe. She was united in marriage on February 4, 1956 to Glen Lester Larson at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls. Their marriage was blessed with 4 children: Paul, Tammy, Collette, and Colleen. Regina was a gracious soul always caring for others. She worked as a certified nurses assistant at the Ellsworth Care Center and Group Home for many years, and provided child care for others.

Regina appreciated the beauty of her surroundings, and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She delighted in watching and feeding the birds, and especially loved her hummingbirds. In her quiet time, Regina was fond of crocheting, knitting, word finds and reading. She was a proud 51 year member of the American Legion, Post 204 Ladies Auxiliary. Regina’s greatest love was her family. She cherished her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an exceptional mother and mother to all, providing unconditional love and care to her family, and those around her. Regina’s generous heart will be missed by all.

Regina is survived by her daughters, Tammy Larson (Clark Goodwin), Collette Larson, and Colleen (Paul) Belland; grandchildren: Ryan Larson, Megan (Darren) Smythurst, Chase Goodwin, Michael (Alex) Belland, Emily Belland, and Sarah Belland; 5 step grandchildren; great grandchildren: Haidyn, Adali, Vanna and Corbin; as well as several close nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; son, Paul; 2 infant grandchildren; 4 sisters; 5 brothers; many beloved Larson in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place 12:00 Noon Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 231 Woolworth St., Ellsworth, with Fr. Eric Awortwe-Dadson officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am until the start of Mass at the church. Interment will take place at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Ellsworth. Pallbearers assisting with the services will be: John O’Keefe, Lloyd O’Keefe, Terry Larson, Mark Bedney, Joe Coburn Sr., and Joe Coburn Jr.
