Richard J. Brown, age 56 of Hager City, died on November 25, 2022 at St. Mary’s in Rochester, MN. Richard was born to Bernard and Mary (Dunn) Brown on July 20, 1966 in Red Wing, MN. Richard attended Ellsworth High School, and then furthered his education at Dakota Tech for 2 years. On June 4, 1994, Richard married the love of his life, Lisa Huppert. Their union blessed them with three sons, Jacob, James, and Joseph.

Richard will always be known for his great sense of humor, his fierce love for his family, a great friend and being a grumpy ol’ man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding UTV, watching tv, and was a strong supporter of the Green Bay Packers. Richard loved to play cribbage and euchre with friends and family. He was most fond of spending time with his grandchildren and recent road trips with the love of his life.

Richard is survived by his wife, Lisa; children: Jacob (Ashley) Brown, James (Jenelle) Brown, and Joseph Brown; grandchildren: Logan, Isabella, and Charlotte; siblings: Randy (Joyce) Brown, Barbie (John) Glause, Tim (Rhonda) Brown, and Dorothy (Pat) Cline; mother-in-law: Cathy Huppert; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Mary, and father-in-law, Milton Huppert.

A celebration of life to be held January 21st at 1:00 P.M. at the Red Men Club Red Wing, MN

  1. I have known Dick for most my life, my best memory is taking him Dottie and Jackie for her first baby pictures at pamida!! I love him and will miss him. Hugs and love to all his family❤
