Richard “Dick” Mann Sr, age 82, of Hudson WI, passed away at his home the evening of June 6th, 2020 with family at his side. Dick was born July 2nd, 1937 to parents Isaac & Gertrude Mann in Prairie Farm, WI. In his youth, his family moved to the Hudson area, where Dick would graduate from high school in 1956. Shortly after high school, he went to work for Nor-Lake in Hudson where he was employed for almost 43 years before his retirement.

Dick married Barbara Selbrede, the love of his life, On April 4th, 1959 at St. Patrick’s Church in Hudson. The couple went on to have four children, making a lifetime of memories travelling, camping, canoeing and creating Halloween costumes. Dick was an active member of River Valley Christian Church in Lake Elmo, MN since its beginning in 1988. After retirement Dick and Barb expanded their travels to Europe, Alaska, Hawaii and the Dominican Republic. Dick also had a lifelong interest in history and after retirement enjoyed researching the origins of obscure objects he would find at estate sales. These will always be cherished memories which, along with his compassion and humor, will leave an impression on those who patiently wait to join him in Heaven.

Richard will remain in the hearts of his family: Barbara (wife of 61 years), Richard Jr. (Donesa) Mann of Eureka Springs, AR, Julie (Eric) Stroh of Missoula, MT, Michael (Kimberly) Mann of Pasadena, CA, Barbara (Troy) Peterson of Woodville, WI, grandchildren Jachin (Kallie) Mann, Garrick (Kelly) Mann, Mallory (Kent) Butler, Chandler (Shelby) Mann, Tara Peterson, Derek Peterson, and Oliver Mann, great-grandchildren Eddison Mann, Dani Mann, Eleanor Mann, brother John Mann, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac & Gertrude, granddaughter Courtney Peterson, brother Isaac Mann Jr and sister Bernice Shugart.

A memorial service for Dick will take place at 11:00 A.M, Thursday, June 11th, 2020 at River Valley Christian Church, 5900 Lake Elmo Ave. N, Lake Elmo, MN 55042. A short Visitation will precede the service at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Light to the Nations, a ministry of River Valley Christian Church.
