Richard “Dick” Allen Olstad, age 81 of Hudson, went to be with his wife Donna and the Lord on December 16th, 2012, after a very courageous fight with cancer.

Dick was born on August 15th, 1931 in Stillwater MN to John and Bertha Olstad. He graduated from Stillwater High School. On July 10, 1954 he married Donna Evenson and they made their home in Hudson. They had two sons, Carl and Mark. Dick worked for 3M Company, where he retired in 1995. His love in life was sports, especially baseball.

Dick is survived by his sons Carl (Deb) of Somerset and Mark (DeAnn) of Hudson, granddaughter Cadie Olstad, grandson Christopher Olstad, sister-in-law Edna Atwood, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Donna, parents John and Bertha Olstad, brother Floyd Olstad and sister Mavis Wilson.

A Memorial Gathering for Dick will be held December 20th from 4–7 p.m. at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 So. 11th St in Hudson WI, with a prayer service following at 7pm. Memorials are preferred.
