Richard John ”Rick”” Richie, age 56 of Ellsworth, WI, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2015 at his residence.

Rick was born on December 27, 1958 in Hudson, WI, to parents Phillip J. and Geraldine A. (Trudell) Richie. He grew up in Ellsworth and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1977. He previously worked in construction and as a beer truck driver. Rick loved spending time with his family and going hunting and fishing.

Rick will remain in the hearts of his mother, Geraldine Richie; siblings, Mary Jo (Rick) Langer of Prescott, Phillip V. Richie of Ellsworth, Beth (Kim) Huppert of Ellsworth, Lynn (Rich) Harris of Ellsworth, and Patty Kittleson (Joe Thomas) of Prescott; 11 nieces and nephews; 9 great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Phillip J. Richie; and sister-in-law, Sherri Richie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 18 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 231 Woodworth St., Ellsworth, WI with Fr. Eric Awortwe-Dadson officiating. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17 at the church, and one hour prior to the mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
