Robert Allen Cooper Jr. age 76 of Hudson, formerly of River Falls died unexpectedly June 11, 2017 at his residence. Robert was born on August 28, 1940 in River Falls, Wisconsin, the son of Robert Sr. and Mary Anne (Siskoff) Cooper. He was raised in River Falls where he attended school graduating from high school. Out of high school, he enlisted in the armed forces where he proudly served in the United States Navy. He would be united in marriage to Delphine Lenzen in Hankinson, North Dakota. To this union, sons Robert III and Chet were born. While in the Navy, he furthered the art of baking which he learned from his dad who owned his own bakery in downtown Hudson. Bob worked several years as a baker for Lunds & Byerlys in the Twin Cities.

Bob was a gifted artist. He opened ‘Studio In The Birches’ in his house. His art had a bit of southwestern flair to it, which he displayed at the Hudson Hospital, Phipps Center For The Arts, and at various art shows in the St. Croix Valley. He enjoyed staying in contact with his Navy buddies and taking quiet walks with the dog. More recently, he proudly took care of his wife as she developed health issues.

Bob is survived by his wife, Delphine; sons, Robert III Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia and Chet (Heidi) Cooper of Oakdale, Minnesota; grandchildren: Adam, Lia, Heather, Lauren, Sophia; sisters, Patti (Richard) Dierks of Frederic and Judy Jensen of Spooner. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard Cooper.

A Memorial Service for Robert Cooper will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 21st at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
