Robert “Bob” Henry Abblett, age 77, of Prescott, WI passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, early Tuesday morning March 15, 2016. Bob was born on October 8, 1938 in Massillon, OH to Leroy and Mayella Abblett. He was united in marriage to Carol Richter in Duluth, MN on July 22, 1961. They were married for nearly 55 years. He met Carol in Duluth and they went roller skating on their first date and many dates after. Bob was retired from the Air Force, Air National Guard and FAA and a disabled veteran. For many years Bob and Carol were very active Square and Round Dancers and active in various organizations.

His passion was his family. He loved fishing at the family cabin and feeding the deer that visited his home in Prescott. Bob also enjoyed going to his great-grandson’s sporting events.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Leah Willis.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Carol of Prescott, WI; daughters, Sandra (Douglas) Bradburry of Prescott, WI, Diana (A. Rafael) Ramos of Hastings, MN; grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Michael, Jessica, Maria; great-grandchildren, Austin, Bailey, Kira, Avery, James; and a sister, Doris (Maynard) Bell of Akron, OH; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A visitation will be 3:00-6:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Hill Funeral Home, Prescott, WI. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016, family and friends are to meet at assembly area two.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to your favorite Veterans organization.
