Robert Carl Southers, age 16, died unexpectedly, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the River Falls Area Hospital, of natural causes.He was born in River Falls, WI on July 29, 1997, to Jennifer Cornell and John Southers.He was currently a sophomore at River Falls High School.Robert loved animals, and walking little kids home from school to keep them from being bullied. He was a fine young man taken too soon.He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.Survivors include his mom, Jennifer (Kirk Woodbeck) Cornell, River Falls, WI.Dad John (Evelyn) Southers, Ardmore, OK. Five siblings: Kevin and Alan Cornell; Dakota and Aaron Jordan; and Yazmin Laager. Grandmother, Pat Southers, Ardmore, OK. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Raymond and Shirley George; Todd Cornell and Paul Robert “Bob” Southers. Funeral services for Robert will be 11:00am, Thursday at Cross Roads Community Church, 5900 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury, MN. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling at a later date.
