Robert C. Hansen, 91, of Baldwin, Wisconsin died March 18, 2018 at the Baldwin Care Center. Bob was born to Rex and Lillian Hansen on May 6, 1926 in Baldwin, WI. He was baptized, confirmed, and a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church. Bob was united in marriage to Doris Iona Fritz on December 12, 1947 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hatchville, WI by her grandfather, Reverend E.G. Fritz.

This union was blessed with three daughters, Judy, Mary and JoAnn.

Bob lived his entire life on the family farm originally purchased in 1892. Bob was partial to International Harvester tractors for fieldwork. The farm included dairy and beef cows, Belgian horses, pigs, sheep, geese, ducks, chickens, cats, dogs, and ponies for the kids. In his day, all the neighbors worked together to get the harvesting done, going from farm to farm.

He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Bob loved to include his girls in fun chores like picking rocks in the fields. The whole neighborhood knew who was cruising the roads in the red pickup truck.

Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, making apple cider, and in his later years, making wine.

Bob is survived by Doris, his wife of 70 years, daughters Judy (late Vaughn) Jensen, Mary (Ron) Roen, and JoAnn (Randy) Hoffman, grandchildren Renee (Ken) Dykhouse, Lance (Kate) Jensen, Eric Hoffman, Lindsay (Bret) Wang, and Laura (Cody) Stingley, great grandchildren Kaden, Karter and Kolin Dykhouse, Joey and Evy Jensen, Lily and Brooks Wang, and Kai Stingley, sister-in-law LaVonne Fritz, and nieces Barb (Robert) Freiberg and Brenda (Duane) Kado.

Bob’s Celebration of Life Service will be at Peace Lutheran Church, Baldwin, on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 5 pm with Pastor John Hanson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
