Robert  “Bob” “Kola” Kolashinski, age 65 of River Falls, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly of heart failure on August 22, 2020 at the River Falls Area Hospital. Bob was born on January 13, 1955 in New Richmond to Joseph and Loretta (Erdman) Kolashinski. He grew up in Hudson and had a distinguished high school career on the football field and academically at Hudson High School, graduating with the class of 1973. Bob pursued a career as a master plumber, owning and operating Liberty Plumbing and Repair in River Falls. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Roxanne Cudd. He was loving and generous, and he was delighted to share his knowledge with others. He was the man, husband, dad, brother, uncle, granddad that everyone would want.

Bob was especially fond of spending time on the St. Croix River with his wife, Roxanne. Bob cherished memories of fishing trips to Canada, and successful elk and mule deer hunts. He held a newfound obsession with growing garlic, and chasing the mythical title of “Garlic King.” Bob had a lifelong respect for nature and the environment he truly loved, and was extremely proud of his yard and garden; relishing any time spent on his John Deere.

Bob will remain in the hearts of his wife, Roxanne; daughter, Jamie and her boys, Andon, Tyler and Kai; sister, Judy Jacobsen; niece, Dana Jacobsen and her daughter, Donnisha Jiles; nephews, Joe Kolashinski and Andy (Jenny) Kolashinski; mother-in-law, Janet Cudd and the extended Cudd family. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kolashinski, mother, Loretta (Bill) Hawkins; brother, Mike Kolashinski; brother-in-law, Don Jacobsen; father-in-law, Paul Cudd, Sr..

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, August 28th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI. Masks and appropriate social distancing are required. Private interment at a later date.

Robert "Bob" "Kola"'s Tribute Wall

Tributes (5):

Please note: if you just submitted a tribute, it is pending approval.
    • Rest In Peace “Robear”, a nickname given to him by Bev Henne and the Henne family who loved him so much. I remember being on a couples bowling league with Bob, so much fun, looked forward to it every Friday night. He always had this joke about getting a “permit” for everything you did. Now his most important “permit” is the one that gets him into heaven. In our hearts forever Dear Friend. LOVE YOU

    • I first met Kola as a freshman in high school. We played football together all four years. Although I did little with Kola socially, I was always greeted warmly by him when we met on the street. I had many great conversations with him at class reunions. Kola was such a likeable person and treated all with respect. I share in you loss.

May God welcome Kola into heaven; may He send the Holy Spirit to comfort and console you at this time; may He provide you with hope of seeing him again in heaven, Amen.
Deacon Gregg J Miller, classmate of 1973
