Robert Marvin Myrvold, 77, of Hammond, WI, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2022, after a lengthy battle with COPD.
Bob was born to Margaret and Marvin on August 19, 1944 in Stillwater, MN. He was a Hudson native and graduated from Hudson High School in 1962. He competed at the State Tournament with the Varsity track team and his nickname was “Flash”. After high school, Bob attended college in River Falls, WI as well as attending Art School in St Paul, MN and Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. He went on to enlist in the Army where he served at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Bob was a decorated rifle marksman and avid outdoorsman. He was passionate about fishing and hunting with his friends and his dogs. He was a wildlife enthusiast who enjoyed bird watching and documenting bird migration. Bob was a talented wildlife artist. He carved various birds with lifelike detail. He was a life member of the Hudson Rod, Gun and Archery Club, where he shot trap and skeet, taught Hunter Safety Education and for many years wrote the newsletter.
He will be dearly missed and is survived by his sister, Susan (Myrvold) Gander; nieces and nephews, Kelly, Peggy, Guy, Tonya, Melissa, and Michael; along with several family members and close friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Marvin; sister, Carol Wolf; and the love of his life, Martha Meister.
The family is having a private celebration of his life.
