Roger Christopher

Roger Loren Christopher, 85, of Hudson, WI passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 7, 2019. Roger was born in Tracy, MN and raised in the surrounding area. He graduated from Mankato State and moved to St. Paul. He would begin a 35 year career at 3M, ultimately as Division Controller, and is where he met his beautiful wife of 58 years, Joan Christopher (nee Clasen).

As a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, his legacy lives through his faith, family, work and volunteerism. He touched many lives in the community and was very active in his church of over 50 years at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. He served as church council president, sang in the choir, taught confirmation, and volunteered on various committees. He was active in the Hudson Boosters and served as Grand Marshal of the 4thof July Booster parade. He continued his gift of service at the Hudson Medical Center for many years as well as treasurer on the board of directors for the Christian Community Home.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Esther Christopher, and sister, Ruth Ann. He is survived by his wife, Joan Christopher, children; Pamela Walker (Bill), Erik (Lynn), and Dan (Karin), grandchildren; Caitlin, Kyle, Christine, Emma, Brandon, Lucas and Kendra,

Memorial Service will be 11am on Saturday, June 15 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 505 13thSt. So. in Hudson with a reception to follow at the church. Memorial gathering will ALSO be at Mt. Zion from 4-7pm on Friday, June 14 as well as one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Interment will be in the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson. Memorials can be made to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Christian Community Home and Grace Place. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
