Roger Patterson, age 74, of Hudson, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Roger was born on January 14, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN to parents Clifford and Lillian Patterson. After High School, Roger served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Roger had a long career as a driver for UPS where he worked for over 36 years. He was a very dedicated employee who would never call in sick and was awarded the Minnesota Driver of the Year, a safe driving award given to him by Arnie Carlson governor of Minnesota. Roger married June Arness on May 10, 1969 and together where blessed with two children. He loved to spend his time with family and enjoyed being around people. He was always ready to argue but was quick to forgive. It was never a dull moment around Roger. Many admired his humor and generosity. Other hobbies that he had were cars (particularly Lincoln’s), wine tasting, golfing, and going out for dinner with friends and family.

Roger will remain in the hearts of his children Kimberly (Mark) Human and Brian (Jenny) Patterson; grandchildren Samuel, Lillian, Anna and Audrey; Siblings Harvey (Carol), Robert (Linda), Olive Larson, Geraldine (Larry) Wisniewski, Pearl Barton as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife June; siblings Violet, Ester, Theodore, and Mary Jane.

A memorial service for Roger will be at 11am on Monday, February 17th at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
