Ronald Charles Boenish, age 83, of Roberts, WI passed away on October 28, 2024 at his home with family by his side. Born in St. Paul, MN on April 24, 1941, Ron graduated from Harding High School in St. Paul with the class of 1959. Ron served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. Ron dedicated his life to his career as a salesman in the Wholesale & Retail Meat industry, and was affectionately known as the “Weiner Man”.
Throughout his life, Ron gave back to his community and supported area youth by donating hamburgers and hot dogs to various concession stands. He also supported veteran organizations.
A proud fan of the Minnesota Vikings, Ron would always be cheering them on during game days. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cribbage with friends and family and cherished moments spent with his dogs, who brought him immense joy and companionship. He was known for his embellished storytelling that entertained all who would listen.
Ron will remain in the hearts of his wife, Betty Schultz; brothers-in-law Richard (Lillian) Schultz, Bill (Margo) Schultz, Joe (Cindy) Schultz; sisters-in-law Diane (John) Washburn, Mary Schultz, and Diane Schultz; half sisters Robbi (Mick) Manders, Shelly (Phil) Hanson, and Kaye (Jimmy) Katz and many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Laura Boenish; brothers Robert L. and Daniel Boenish; sister Laurie Dochniak; mother and father in law Margaret and Reuben Schultz; brothers-in-law John and Roger Schultz; sister-in-law Molly Schultz; nephews Robert Boenish and Nathan Schultz.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson from noon to 3:00 p.m. Private burial will be held at Warren Cemetery in Roberts, WI. Memorials are preferred to Boys Town, Salvation Army, or St. Judes.
