Rudolph H. Miller

Rudolph H. Miller, age 91 of Hudson, died peacefully on January 27, 2018 at the Christian Community Home.

Rudolph was born on January 10, 1927 to Charles and Angeline (Nogaj) Miller in Lakeland, Minnesota. He attended elementary school in Lakeland and high school in Stillwater. Rudolph was united in marriage to Johanna Jespersen on December 16,1954 and that union was blessed with a son, Kevin.

He worked as a millwright at John Wood, United Steel, and Whirlpool until his retirement in 1990.

Rudolph was very proud of his service to his country as a Merchant Mariner and in the Army during World War II and the Minnesota National Guard during the Korean War. Rudolph enjoyed a relaxing game of Golf and was a dedicated member of the Hudson Golf Club.

Rudolph is survived by his son, Kevin (Cathy) Miller of Columbia, MD; step-daughter, Pam (Jack) Pitcher of Hastings, MN; grandchildren, Sara Pitcher and Zachary, Emily, and Nicholas Miller; great-grandchild, Oliver; siblings, Howard (Florence) Miller of River Falls, Margaret Masanz of Lakeland, and Patricia Heldt of Lakeland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Johanna; siblings, Charles ‘Sonny’ Miller, Edward Miller, Donald (Marlene) Miller, Mary Jane (Albert) Lloyd, Marcella (Roger) Lyksett, LeRoy (Betty) Miller, Violet (Herbert) Howard, Fred ‘Fritz” (Alice) Miller, and Marie (Richard) Hamiel; and brothers-in-law, Walter ‘Allie’ Heldt and Victor Masanz.

A Memorial Service for Rudolph will take place at 3:00pm, with a visitation from 1:00 – 3:00pm, on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Maplewood, MN on Tuesday, May 29. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI.
