Russell Steven Chaput

Russell Steven Chaput, a man of remarkable strength and resilience, departed from this world on March 29, 2024, after bravely facing a prolonged battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Maris (Kennedy) Chaput, and his sisters Robbin Weichman and Shaun Chaput. Russell is survived by his nephew Trevor Robson and niece Tiffany Kramer.

A graduate of Prescott High School’s class of 1975, Russell embarked on a journey filled with diverse interests and passions. Whether it was exploring the great outdoors through camping adventures, feeling the wind rush past him on his motorcycle, or demonstrating his precision in dart leagues, Russell embraced life with enthusiasm. He was a Minnesota Vikings fan until the end.

Beyond his hobbies, Russell was known for his exceptionally skillful work as a handyman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kinnickinnic Town Hall, River Falls, Wisconsin, on May 25, 2024, from noon to 3:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Prescott.
