Ruth Rosendal

Ruth Janet Rosendal, age 87 of Baldwin, passed away peacefully June 22, 2014 at the Baldwin Care Center. Ruth was born October 8, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Jacob and Janetta (Eisenga) VanderMaar. She was united in marriage on September 2, 1949 in Chicago, IL to William Peter Rosendal. Their marriage was blessed with 4 daughters, Elaine, Cheryl, Ruth Anne and Lynette. Ruth provided for her family as a homemaker, cooking, baking and helping Bill with the farm work. Ruth was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her life centered around her family and caring so graciously for them. In her quiet time, Ruth enjoyed doing needle work and had a green thumb when it came to gardening. She was a devoted member of Baldwin Christian Reformed Church and Ebenezer Society.

Ruth will remain in the hearts of her daughters, Cheryl Rosendal, Ruth Anne (Jim) Fick and Lynette Rosendal; grandchildren: Scott (Holly) Kooiman, Keith (Monica) Kooiman, Julie Kooiman, Dan Kooiman, Joe Kooiman, Susan Kooiman, Angie (Scott) Murphy, Tim (Julie) Fick, Shari Breed and Amy Fick; great-grandchildren: Alaina & Logan Breed, Jake Kooiman, Madeline & Ethan Fick, Jordan & Owen Murphy, and Abby & Emma Kooiman; brother, Robert VanderMaar; and sister, Joyce Sutherland. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; daughter, Elaine; her parents; and son-in-law, Cal Kooiman.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Christian Reformed Church, 893 Hwy 63, Baldwin. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at the Baldwin Cemetery. Pallbearers assisting with the services will be: Scott Kooiman, Keith Kooiman, Tim Fick, Dan Kooiman, Joe Kooiman and Jim Fick.
