Sally J. Blair

Sally Jane Blair, age 84, of Hudson, WI, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Christian Community Home in Hudson, WI.

Although Sally was born May 28, 1936 to parents Larry and Lorna Harback in St. Paul, MN, she was a lifelong resident of Hudson, WI. After her graduation from Hudson High School, Sally went on to complete a degree in secretarial work from Rasmussen College. In the 60’s & 70’s, Sally worked for Traveler’s Insurance before moving onto a position at Afton Alps Ski Resort in Hastings, MN. She worked there for 15 years full time before moving to a more flexible schedule until her full retirement in 2002. An open calendar for Sally meant more time to do the things she really loved. Sally was a proud board member and volunteer for Christian Community Home, as well as a longstanding member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially spending time in Fort Myers, FL. Sally had many motorhomes over the course of her life which allowed her to travel across the country freely to many destinations. Sally was a huge fan of old country music, and her favorite was always Willie Nelson. She had an extensive clothing collection, and enjoyed adding new pieces to her wardrobe regularly. Sally was an avid baseball fan. Whether listening through the radio or watching on TV, she would take every opportunity to cheer on her beloved Minnesota Twins.

Sally’s devotion to her family and generous heart will never be forgotten by her sons, Bob (Connie) Blair of Hudson, WI and Tom (Ingrid) Blair of Hudson, WI; grandchildren, Jake Blair and Blaire Elise Benz; as well as her extended family and friends throughout the Hudson community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Larry & Lorna; her first husband, Robert Blair; second husband, Tom Hackney; and grandson, Hunter Blair.

A Funeral Mass for Sally will be held at 11:00 A.M, Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St. Hudson, WI, with a visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. The Mass will be livestreamed on St. Patrick’s Facebook page. Interment will take place at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson, WI.
