Sanjeev Adonijah Dhawan Jr., age 30, of Prescott (formerly Ellsworth) Wisconsin, died unexpectedly on December 24, 2023 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Sanjeev was born on August 17, 1993 in Rochester, Minnesota to Sanjeev Dhawan Sr. and Barbara Beth (Florine) Dhawan.

Sanjeev grew up with his sisters in Prescott, Wisconsin, attending Malone Elementary School, and playing little league baseball across from the Prescott Fire Hall. In 2006, the family moved to Ellsworth Wisconsin, to a small hobby farm. Sanjeev attended Ellsworth Middle School and Ellsworth High School. He loved music, and taught himself the electric guitar. He also loved art, books, and video gaming. Sanjeev loved Jesus, and was baptized into the Christian faith. He will forever be remembered as the kind a gentle soul that he was.

Sanjeev is survived by his parents, Sanjeev Sr. and Barbara Beth (Florine) Dhawan, his sisters, Evangeline (Steven) Dhawan-Maloney of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Victoria Dhawan of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, as well many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sanjeev is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Narendra and Harpal (Kaur) Dhawan, and his maternal grandparents, Clare and Bonnie (Allen) Florine. Sanjeev is also preceded in death by two unborn siblings.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 30th, at O’Connell Funeral Home in Prescott Wisconsin. Sanjeev will then be laid to rest in Pine Glen Cemetery, where his grandparents are also buried.

  1. My sympathy to the entire family. It is a difficult time for the life of someone so young. May his soul find peace in the Lord. He will always be a child of God, and he has called him home.
