Scott Allen Hove age 66, of Maiden Rock passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2022 at his residence. Scott was born to Clair and Patricia (Gilbertson) Hove on October 20, 1955. He attended Ellsworth High School graduating with the class of 1974. Scott later married Leann Holmstadt from this union. They were blessed with three children, Jolene, Valerie and Nathan.
Scott was an outdoorsman and enjoyed whatever mother nature had to offer. He loved hunting, ATVing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was never afraid to act goofy and have a great time. One of his pastimes was to drive around in his truck even if he had nowhere to go. Scott was very active in coaching all of his children’s sports and being very involved in the Ellsworth community. He also played for the Ellsworth Hubbers for a number of years. Most of all, his family will always remember him for being a professional storyteller. No good story didn’t deserve some embellishment. Scott will be greatly missed by his close friends and family.
Scott is survived by his children: Jolene (Chad) Wittenberg; Valerie (Jeremy) Newbold; Nathan (Emily) Hove; grandchildren: Aubrey, Gavin, Natalie, Liam, Tristen, and Harrison; his mother, Patricia Fellman, brother: Tim (Tricia) Fellman: Nephew, Scott Fellman. He was preceded in death by his father: Clair Hove, stepfather, Laverne “Sonny” Fellman, grandmother: Dorothy “Old Gram” Arnold, and nephew Nick Fellman.
