Scott Gossel

Scott Gossel age 36 of Hersey, died tragically as a result of an auto accident February 2nd, 2019 in rural Baldwin. Scott was born on August 27, 1982 in Baldwin; the son of Timothy and Valerie (Gralow) Gossel. He attended elementary school in the twin cities before moving to Baldwin where he attended Greenfield Elementary and Viking Middle School before graduating from Baldwin-Woodville in the class of 01’. He helped create St. Croix Movers with his mother and worked there many years with his mom and brother Dennis. Most recently, he has worked as a union carpenter working on commercial construction in the twin cities. In 2009, Scott and Samantha Seifert welcomed their beautiful daughter, Evelyn and on August 31, 2012, they were united in marriage in Hudson.

Scott loved anything with extra horsepower! He enjoyed the tranquility of riding his Harley with his wife, friends, and family, an ATV ride through the woods, or dirt bikes. Scott treasured time spent with his wife and daughter tending to their hobby farm and his Farmall tractor. He enjoyed collecting a variety of items, from bicycles to knives. Scott was quiet and reserved, but when he got to know you, he would virtually do anything for you. Being a carpenter, he was quite gifted and enjoyed making things for home, much like a greenhouse for Samantha. He always looked forward to being with friends and playing a game of Texas Hold’em.

Scott will remain in the hearts of his wife, Samantha; daughter, Evelyn; mother, Valerie Peterson of Baldwin; father, Tim Gossel of Wilson; brother, Dennis (Leah) and their children, Devin and Marlee of Glenwood City; mother-in-law, Chris Klinkhammer of Baldwin; father-in-law, Sean Seifert of Montana; sisters-in-law, Sarah Seifert and her daughter, Elise of Baldwin, Emily Seifert of Montana; grandparents, Norman and Mary Ann Gralow of Woodville, and best friend, Nathan Gotzman; along with many dear friends. His grandparents, Marvin and Margie Gossel and uncle, Allen Gossel precede him in death.

A Celebration of Life for Scott will be Thursday, February 7th from 4pm to 7pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin. Private interment will be in the Lone Pine Cemetery. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers and will be used for the well being of his precious daughter, Evelyn.
