Shannon M. Brogan, 75, of Hager City, WI passed away in St. Paul, MN on August 3, 2023.
Shannon was born on August 2, 1948 to John and Joyce (O’Toole) Brogan and raised in Adams-Friendship, WI. She lived various places but settled in Western Wisconsin near her loving partner, Paul Hein. Shannon had a varied career but was best known as a beloved Nanny, helping to raise many children. This was followed by a well- established notary business.
Shannon had a zest for life, loved people, and enjoyed all types of music. You would find her at blues festivals mingling with all her friends and dancing up a storm. She enjoyed travelling and had many adventures, but one of her favorite pastimes was having picnics along a river bank with Paul. She had a passionate love of animals and was fond of taking in strays. Every creature around her house was well-cared for.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Joyce Brogan. She is survived by her partner and soul mate, Paul Hein, many dear friends, and her siblings: Peggy (Loren) Bahls of Helena, MT, Peter (Melinda) Brogan of Friendship, WI, Michael Brogan of Friendship, WI, Janie Brogan of Onalaska, WI, and Colleen Brogan-Raasch (Robert) of Onalaska, WI and many nieces and nephews.
And in the way that she lived life, a celebration of music and joy will be held in Shannon’s honor, on September 17th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, outside at the Trempealeau Hotel in Trempealeau, WI (a tent will be available for rain/shade). There will be music provided by The Blue Max band, dancing, and lots of memories to share. Bring a blanket, a lawn chair, your dancing shoes, or whatever you want to join in the celebration of Shannon’s last party. Food and drink are available for sale in the hotel restaurant.
Shannon will be missed by many, forgotten by none. Dance the night away, Shannon. Trempealeau hotel website: https://www.trempealeauhotel.com/
