Sharon Kay Gardner, age 77 of Roberts, died on January 5, 2018 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Sharon was born on September 1, 1940, the daughter of Jim and Loretta Boumeester. She was united in marriage to Thomas Gardner on November 23, 1957 and that union was blessed with 5 children, Dale, Cheryl, Mike, Linda, and Donald.

Sharon was an excellent chef in the kitchen; she was able to whip up a batch of brownies or make an elegant spread of other comfort food. She delighted in having a good cocktail and loved the thrill of gambling at the Casinos, especially Little Hertel. Sharon was skilled at sewing and crocheting; sewing her own curtains to brighten her home. She was fond of shopping and was very proud of finding great deals. Sharon and Tom cherished every memory of their favorite spot on the lake. She was a strong-willed woman who told it like it was, but she also had a soft spot for her family; she treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

Sharon will remain in the hearts of her children, Dale (Cindy) Gardner, Cheryl (Mitch) Johnston, Mike (Debbie Wahlin) Gardner, Linda (Kim Kiel) Gardner, and Donald Gardner; grandchildren, Luke (Heidi) Gardner, Andrew (Tia) Gardner, Michelle (Michael Lohmann) Lindus, Melinda (Brent) Mueller, and Grace Gardner; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Bridget Mueller; as well as other countless relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Gardner; parents, Jim and Loretta Boumeester; brother, Ronald Boumeester; and great-grandson, Logan.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life at 8:00 PM. Interment will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory in Baldwin, WI.
