Sharon Kay Fenton age 75 of Ellsworth died unexpectedly January 16, 2024 at her residence. Sharon was born on September 5, 1948 in Chula Vista, California; the daughter of Donald and Mildred (Booker) Tolner. She was raised in Chula Vista where she graduated from high school. In 1968, she was married to Donald Fenton in Winterhaven, California. To this union four children would be born; Donald, Jonathan, April, and Cheryl. This union would later dissolve. Sharon was a licensed foster mother in California as well.

Outside of raising her family, she was a professional care giver, performed housekeeping in San Bernadino, and was a certified boiler cleaner. Sharon moved to the Ellsworth area and she worked in custodial for a high school in Rochester, MN.

She enjoyed time spent with her boyfriend Ron Hovda whom knew each other for nearly fifty years. She looked forward to trips to see and spend time with him. The past few years, she has lived with her daughter April and enjoyed the visits of Sarah Durkee as well as Zach and his family coming to visit a few times a week.

She enjoyed taking car rides especially when the leaves were turning in the fall. She took pleasure going to the movies and watching great grandson Oliver Ray who made her laugh with all the funny things he’d do.

Sharon is survived by her children Donald L. Fenton Jr. (Heather) of Cornell, Jonathan Fenton of Plainview, MN, April D. Mord (Todd) of Ellsworth, Cheryl Kay Fenton (Jordan Strusz) of Hager City; sixteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren; her brother Donald Tolner; and her dog Sweetie and cat Blackie. . Sharon is preceded in death by her former husband Donald Fenton and grandson Herbert Ray Hoover.
