Prescott WI, 54021

Sheila Marie Kittleson, 68, long time resident of Red Wing, MN formerly of Prescott, WI passed away peacefully at United Hospital, St. Paul, MN on June 6, 2024, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Sheila was born August 21, 1955, in Prescott as the 3rd child of Bernard (Sam) and Dorothy Kittleson. She was raised in Prescott and graduated from Prescott Sr. High School with the class of 1973.

Our sister was strong willed and overcame many hurdles as an independent and self-sufficient lady. Though Sheila lived with epilepsy from birth, and won her battle with breast cancer in 2012, she kept her sense of humor and an infectious laugh going as she maintained her role as an administrative professional at Xcel Energy – Prairie Island Nuclear Plant in Red Wing, MN.

Sheila was an avid reader, a dedicated Packer Fan-stopping at Lambeau Field as she and sister Julie took their trips to Door County in the Fall. She loved her family and shared some really special bonds with her nieces and nephews.

Sheila preceded in death by her parents, nephews, Jesse Murphy, and Mitchel Radant, and niece Nicole Kittleson. She will be remembered as our strong, feisty, and dearly loved sister by her 6 siblings, Jeff (Joanne) Kittleson, Fredrick, WI, Sheri Kunash, Cocoa, FL, Julie (Alan) Ellefson, Danbury, WI, Kris Kittleson, Phoenix, AZ, Renee Kittleson, Stanley, WI, and Joan Kittleson, Lake St. Croix Beach, MN, and step-mother and friend Barbara Kittleson.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00pm – 3:00pm on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Freedom Park, 200 Monroe St, Prescott, WI. A private family burial was held June 14, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Prescott.

Memorial and cremation services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Prescott, www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com, 715-262-5404.

  1. I miss you immensely Sheila. Who am I going to go on vacation with now? You knew my secrets and kept them between us, you were my Sister, my friend, my confidant, my shopping partner, and dining companion. There is a huge hole, never to be filled again. I love you so much, my dear Sis.
