Sheila Lynn Peterson Gregory age 57 of River Falls died peacefully December 8th at her residence following a hard fought battle with cancer. Sheila was born November 8, 1966 in Waseca, Minnesota; the daughter of Dewey and Mary (Kath) Keller. She graduated from Owatonna High School in the class of ’85 prior to attending Dakota County Technical College, where she earned her associates degree in Architecture.
For many years, she worked at the Royal Credit Union in River Falls/Hudson. She served as a member lending specialist where she created not only many clients, but also countless friends.
Sheila loved children. She taught daycare and preschool out of her home appropriately called Peterson’s daycare. She furthered this love of children at her church as the Nursery volunteer. She loved the holidays and enjoyed getting crafty coming up with unique gift ideas for those close to her. With her creativity and fun, her room came to be called the she.la.shed. Giving of her time was part of her core. She looked forward to volunteering for her children’s school events, especially when it came to band. Earlier, she had fun memories volunteering for the Baldwin-Woodville and Ellsworth Chambers of Commerce. Loving festivities, she was always one of the first to sign up to walk to parades promoting the banks she worked for. She would also dress up on special occasions with one of her favorite memories being dressing up as the Grinch with Cindy Lu being her daughter. Being active with her children, teaching her daughter to drive, was fulfilling, at the same time, laughable as they got pulled over for going too slow. Following her marriage to her best friend, Jim Gregory, time spent together was invaluable. Together they went camping, fishing, and tooling around in their side-by-side.
Sheila left a profound impact on those she loved, including her husband, Gregory; children, Jennifer ‘Jasper’ Peterson, Jaime Peterson; dad Dewey Keller, mom Mary Keller, brothers Duane (Laurie) Keller, Jason Keller, Dion Keller, Ryan (Patti) Keller; nieces, and nephews, John Keller, Brooke Budensick, Kayce Keller, Kaden Keller, Kerryn Keller and Kathy Hale; stepchildren, James G Gregory, Nancee (Brian) Gregory, Donovan (Joana) Gregory; step grandchildren, Dominic, Jolenee, Darian, Darren, Jodee, and Roque. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret Keller, Lorena and Emil Kath; uncle Henry Kath, and niece Diana Keller.

Jennifer and Jaime, I’m so sorry to hear your mom has died. She was such a lovely person. Even when her cancer was getting worse she had a positive attitude when she came to church.
I am so sorry to hear of Sheila’s passing – she was a wonderful person to know. I will never forget her caring and thoughtful spirit. A friend to everyone, she will be missed.
We attended Shelias wedding long ago when our son was small. At the dance when Sheila walked in she was so beautiful that our son said, Mom, who is that beautiful princess!
We will always remember her as a Princess!
