Sherry Bergeron

Sherry J. Bergeron, age 59, of North Hudson, WI, died unexpectedly on August 24, 2020 while vacationing in Walker, MN.

Sherry was born on October 25, 1960 to Benjamin and Marie (Bucek) Pahl in Minneapolis, MN. After attending school in the Minneapolis area, she married Bruce Bergeron on April 7, 1979, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Prior Lake, MN, a marriage that was blessed with two children, Nicole and James. Their family relocated to the Hudson area, where Bruce opened a Domino’s Pizza franchise which Sherry faithfully supported and helped where she could. After 28 years, the business would be sold.  She began working as a housekeeper at Comfort Inn & Suites, which was later renamed to Quality Inn & Suites. Their marriage would later dissolve.

Sherry adored and cherished her family and loved to shower them with home cooked meals and love. She was a caretaker by nature, always wearing her heart on her sleeve, and was known for having a strong and steady intuition. She brought her bright demeanor with her everywhere, lighting up rooms wherever she went. She found joy in painting, cleaning, reading mystery novels, and watching westerns. She also loved spending time outdoors, swimming and fishing, as well as enjoyed traveling, especially loving her time spent out west at Yellowstone National Park.

She is survived by her children, Nikki (Paul Gernes) Bergeron of North Hudson, WI and James Bergeron (Joelle Hanely) of North Hudson, WI; siblings: Nick (Judy) Pahl, Joan (Bob) Burrows, Ben (Gladys) Pahl, Ted (Maradee) Pahl, Monie (Bernie) Roehning, Ernie (Lynn) Pahl, Faith Grott, Hope Pahl, Charity (Vern) Cleve, Tammy (Tom) Marchessaurt, and Shelly (Ed) Johnstone.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bruce (Barb) Pahl.

Visitation for Sherry will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, followed by a prayer service at 6:45pm at the funeral home. A private Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held. Memorials are appreciated and preferred.
