Steven Leon Ylinen

We regret to announce the passing of Steven Leon Ylinen, who was born on April 25, 1965, in Minneapolis, MN, and peacefully departed on July 7, 2024, at Hammond Health Services in at the age of 59.

During his lifetime, Steven enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends, cherishing their company immensely. He appreciated the yearly gathering for what was named Orphan’s Thanksgiving. Steven was an avid amateur photographer who loved classic cars and his beloved Willys. He would drive and collect these jeeps that brought him joy. His readiness to laugh was only second by his quick mind and turn of phrase.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Kay Ylinen, and sister, Michele Ylinen. He is survived by his sister, Sue Raiber and her husband Tony, his brother Tom Ylinen and his wife Pam (with children Christy Peters, Alex Baker, and Seth Ylinen), and his nibbling Jenea Ylinen Fredrickson.

Funeral Services Entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home Hudson, WI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 7/17/2024 from 1-2pm followed by Celebration of Life at 2pm.
