Sueann Brenne, age 69 of Glenwood City WI, died on Friday, March 31, 2017. Sueann was born June 10, 1947 in Menomonie WI to parents Delbert L. and Evelyn (Pomasl) Keyes. Sueann attended school in Menomonie, and graduated from Menomonie High School with the Class of 1965. She would be united in marriage to Dennis C. Brenne, and their union in marriage would be blessed with two daughters. Sueann worked alongside Denny in their Sears Hometown store, helping with all the day-to-day duties, and with those who also came to their accounting business. Denny would precede her in death on June 21, 2001.

Sueann cherished time spent with family at the lake, and on the pontoon. During down time, she enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles, not to mention playing cards. Traveling to Florida with her family also held a special place in her heart. She and Joe loved spending time on the farm vegetable gardening, canning, going for rides and finding the next auction and garage sale.  When she wasn’t at a garage sale she jumped at any chance to go shopping at the local mall. As devout Christians, Sueann and Joe devoted much of their time to the Emerald United Methodist Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sueann is survived by her daughter, Billie Jo (Todd) Doornink; her special guy, Joe Hansen, and his children, Jennifer Ann (Graham) Cassellius, and Tammy Jo Hansen; her grandchildren, Brock (Kaylee) Boldt, Brittanie (Scott Danzl) Boldt, Kyle Peterson, Hunter Brenne, Kenedi Brenne, Savannah Richter, and Emmons Cassellius; her brother, Robert Keyes; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sueann was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis “Denny” Brenne; her daughter, Denise Sue Brenne; her parents; and her brother, Dick Keyes.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00-4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street in Baldwin WI, followed by a time for sharing and memories at 4:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials honoring Sueann Brenne may be directed to the family, or to the charity of the donors choosing.
