Suzanne M. Brathol

Suzanne Brathol, age 68 of Hammond went to be with her Lord and husband Steve, unexpectedly June 16th 2022 at her home. Suzanne was born on August 5, 1953 in New Richmond, Wisconsin; the daughter of Harland and Stella (Volkert) Frank. She attended St. Croix Central School. Shortly thereafter, she walked down the aisle with her best friend and soul mate Steve Brathol. These high school sweethearts exchanged vows on June 2, 1973 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Baldwin. Further blessing this union were three boys: Cory, Jeremy, and Eric.

Suzanne served as a legal assistant while raising her family. She worked several years for Sjoberg & Tebelius PA, a Woodbury law firm. Suzanne’s passions were quite simple. She adored her family and being surrounded by them gave her the greatest feeling of joy. She was so very proud of her boys and of course adored her grandchildren. Her faith was her rock and she instilled this faith in her sons. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran in Hammond and looked forward to singing in their church choir. Many incredible memories were camping with family and of course, fishing, as that was Steve’s passion. Together, they rarely missed a grandchild’s school or sporting event. She also enjoyed getting her hands dirty in her gardens. Blooming flowers adorning their house gave her great pride.

Suzanne will forever remain in the hearts of her children: Cory Brathol, Jeremy Brathol (Tara), and Eric Brathol (Michelle); grandchildren: Brevon, Brianna, Bennett, Jaxon, Addison, and Taylar; siblings: Daryl (Susan) Frank, Mike (Dory) Frank, Luanne Gerhardt, Ed (Christine) Frank, Patti (Todd) Criego, and Missy (Mike) Gruenes; brothers and sisters-in-laws: Don Brathol, Linda (Wes) Halle, Diane (Al) Nielsen, and Doug (Shelly) Brathol; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Suzanne joined her beloved husband, Steve; parents Harland and Stella Frank; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Eulaine Brathol; sisters-in-law, Patricia Brathol and Barb Frank; brother-in-law, Al Gerhardt; and niece, Sammie Criego.

Visitation will be one hour prior AND Friday, June 24th from 4-7PM ALSO at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hammond. The service will be livestreamed – click HERE for the livestream.
