Taylor Edward Palfrey age 32 of Cocoa, Florida, and formerly Prescott died unexpectedly April 25th, 2023 in Florida. Taylor was born on July 14, 1990 in Richland Center, Wisconsin; the son of Jerald Palfrey and Dulcie (Hill) Palfrey. He was raised in Muscoda, Wisconsin where he attended Riverdale Elementary before moving to Prescott where he graduated from high school. Taylor was a go-getter who loved to stay busy and working. He thoroughly enjoyed flipping houses with his uncle Torrey. Whether finish trim, flooring, dry walling, he did it well. His attention to detail was very noticeable.

When you think of Taylor, skateboarding automatically comes to mind. Much of his life evolved around the skatepark where he would gather with his friends and spend long hours learning tricks. Of course, this didn’t come without some good bruises, abrasions and countless board replacements. He was well known as the kid that boarded everywhere with a little white dog following along. Taylor looked forward to meal time as it was a guaranteed time to gather with family and eat…and he took great pleasure in food. He fell in love with the ocean, where he found tranquility in the soothing calm of the waves. Taylor wore his heart on his sleeve and had a smile that could light up a room. It didn’t stop with just the smile, his happiness to see you was so genuine it would beam from his eyes! He was quick and witty with a laugh that was contagious. Taylor was loved by so many relatives and friends. “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” – A.A. Milne

Taylor is survived by his mother, Dulcie Lytle of Hastings; father, Jerald Palfrey of Muscoda; siblings, Heather (Clinton) Annis of Cannon Falls, Keegan Franklin of Muscoda, Wyatt Cole of Hastings; grandmother Callie Johnson of Florida; step dad David Lytle of Prescott; nieces and nephews Athena, Clinton Jr, Amara, Aeramiss, Cai, Cayden; Aunts & Uncles Torrey Hill of Florida, Clayton McIntosh of Aboca, Melissa (Todd) Stewart of Nashville, TN; cousins, Desirae and Aiden; as well as many of relatives on the Palfrey side. His grandparents Orville Hill Jr, Fredrick & Dolly Palfrey precede him in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 4 PM at the Old Ptacek’s Event Center 1449 Orrin Road in Prescott. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow from 5 PM to 7 PM. Interment will be private. Whilst flowers are appreciated the family welcomes donations both charitable and toward the funeral costs. Memorials may be mailed to the funeral home. Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Trusted Cremation Services at 1339 Orrin Road in Prescott, Wisconsin 54021.

“I thought that I’d miss you so, and never find my way. And then I heard the angel say; “He’s with you every day. “The sun, the moon, the wind, the stars, will forever be around, reminding you of the love you shared, and the peace he’s finally found.”

  1. Oh, Taylor to see this breaks my heart. You you were an awesome & amazing stepson. Chaz and I have thought of you and missed you so many times over the past years. You will always be in our heart. Now I see you riding your skateboard on the Milky Way.. I know the Lord embraces you.

  2. Oh Taylor… It breaks my heart to see this. There is no doubt that I was fortunate to have you in my life as my stepson. For Chaz you are more of a brother that is blood brother. We talk about you often because we remember you. We’ve always missed you and we will always love you. I figure you’re riding your skateboard on the Milky Way.
Love you dearly. Lori and Chaz
