Teresa ‘Teri’ Polzin

Teresa Jean “Teri” Polzin, age 58 of Minneapolis, MN, passed away April 18, 2018 at the East Bank Hospital of the University of Minnesota Medical Center.

Teri was born on March 15, 1960 in Slayton, MN, to parents Arnold and Mary Ann (Oleson) Polzin. She was baptized at Lake Wilson Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, MN and confirmed at Watson Lutheran Church in Watson, MN. She graduated from Montevideo High School before attending Tech School in Wilmar for accounting. Teri later earned an Associates of Arts Degree from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL. Teri worked for many years as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the Chicago area before relocating to Minneapolis.

Teri was extremely proud of her sobriety for the past 20 years. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling, while recently she was fond of watching classic movies staring Katharine Hepburn, listening to music, and savoring a good cup of coffee with a bagel. Teri adored her nieces and nephews and loved to hear of their adventures and accomplishments.

Teri will remain in the heart of her mother, Mary Ann Nordaune; siblings, Lu Ann (Harold) Eley, Cindy Polzin, Bryon (Laura) Polzin, Andrea (Tim) Dreier, Jennifer (Bernard) Arulanandam, David (Tara) Polzin, and Renee (K.J.) Hanson; many nieces and nephews; Uncle Curtis Nordaune; Aunt Reva Berntson; other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Arnold Polzin; and dad, Harlis Nordaune.

A Celebration of Teri’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 505 13th St., Hudson, WI.  

In lieu of flowers, please be kind to someone. Call a friend or relative you haven’t reached out to recently. Visit a shut-in or nursing home resident. Forgive someone. All acts of kindness are appreciated.
