Theodore ‘Ted’ Gulich

Theodore “Ted” Gulich age 78 of Roberts died peacefully Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Parkview campus in Woodville. Ted was born on June 2, 1940 in Cornell, Wisconsin. He was the son of Peter and Eileen (Glidden) Gulich. He was raised in Arnold, Wisconsin where he attended school. On January 11, 1958, he was united in marriage to Betty Crabb. Many have come to know and appreciate Ted’s commitment and love for over the road trucking. He began trucking in 1968 prior to forming Gulich Trucking in 1976. He also formed another business, GTI Parts and Service Inc in 1984 which created many return customers and friends. To say it’s been a family business would be an understatement. From his father, his sons and daughter in law’s, they have built an incredible successful business.  Teds love of driving truck didn’t stop there. He enjoyed time spent at home on the tractor or with any engine that had good horse power. It wasn’t unusual to see Ted chewing on one of his Dutch Masters at the same time. When Ted got to know you, his sassy and spunky character came out. He always loved meeting his friends at the Lowery Hotel or Roberts Café, but just as much to pick on the waitresses there. He loved his grandchildren and was known to sing them happy birthday in many different voices. Furthermore he enjoyed good music and dancing.

Ted is survived by his wife Betty, mom Gloria Gulich, sons Peter (Darlene) Gulich of Holcombe, Wisconsin, Scott (Lori) Gulich of Hammond, David (Teresia) Gulich of Hammond, grandchildren Mandy (Nick) Lovgren, Peter Gulich, Rachel Gulich, Ryan Gulich, Stacy (Ryan) Danielson, Steve (Hannah) Gulich, great grandchildren Cassandra and Adam Gulich, Lucy, Layla, Livie Danielson, and Miles Theodore Gulich. He is preceded in death by his father and son Paul Gulich.

Funeral service for Ted will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 30 at Roberts United Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Warren cemetery in Roberts. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29 from 4pm to 7pm at the OConnell Family Funeral Home of Hudson as well as one hour prior to the service at church Wednesday morning. Memorials are preferred. Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Homes.
